Parish Mass for Harvest Thanksgiving

Occurring
for 1 hour, 15 mins
Venue
St Michael & All Angels
Address
Northcote Road/Palmerston Road WALTHAMSTOW, LONDON., E17 6PQ, United Kingdom

Come and join us to celebrate the harvest this Sunday at our Parish Mass, led by Archdeacon Mike, as we mark the beginning of the season of autumn. In the east of London, it is good to be reminded each year of those who plough, scatter the seed and harvest the crops each year so that we have enough to eat. A timely reminder also of the many millions who, usually through war, cannot harvest their crops and end up with very little to eat. Our second reading (Revelation 14: 14-18) reminds us of the end of the world when Our Lord himself will harvest the earth, and in the gospel he declares that he is the bread of life who satisfies all hunger.

As is our custom, instead of food donations, we will send our collection to Haven House Children's Hospice who, like all hospices, are struggling with finance. Please give generously on line if you can! Many thanks! The link is: https://www.havenhouse.org.uk/donate-page

St Michael & All Angels

St Michael and all Angels' is a friendly multicultural church located in the heart of Walthamstow, very close to the vibrant high street.

We are currently in interregnum at St Michael's but are looking forward to our new full-time priest very, very soon.

We would like to thank Fr. Alex Summers and his family for their hard work and for bringing the community together in the 6 years they were with us.

Please pop in and join us at one of our services. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stmichaelstow.

God Bless
