Church of England Diocese of St.Edmundsbury & Ipswich St. Thomas Ipswich

Ipswich, St Thomas the Apostle

We are a welcoming, friendly Church in North West Ipswich. As the local Parish Church we seek to serve all in our community and welcome enquiries about baptisms, weddings and funerals as well as just asking to have a chat with the priest-in-charge. Everyone is welcome to join us for our worship, social gatherings or groups. We have a regular pattern of prayer at which we pray for our neighbourhood, town and the world, and we welcome prayer requests. Our Sunday worship includes the celebration of communion, we enjoy singing, a mixture of traditional and modern hymns.

The parish of St Thomas is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St.Edmundsbury & Ipswich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
