Our four churches belong in turn to a wider group of churches called the Bowland and Ewecross Deanery. This consists of the 21 Anglican churches in the area bounded by Thornton in Lonsdale, Keasden, Gargrave, and Horton-in-Ribblesdale. The clergy of these churches meet regularly for the exchange of news and mutual support; our resident retired clergy are also supported through the Deanery. The Deanery Synod, consisting of clergy and 'lay' members, discusses various issues relating to church and wider life, and acts as a bridge between the parishes and the Leeds Diocesan Synod.
