Baptisms, Weddings & Funerals
Baptisms
Baptism is a way of recognising the candidate as a beloved child of God who is welcomed into his family. We would be delighted to baptise or christen (these are different words for the same thing) people of any age in any of our churches. The service happens during one of our main Sunday services; there is no charge for a baptism but donations are welcome.
If you would like to arrange a baptism, please get in touch with the Rector Grace Gaze who would be very pleased to assist.
Weddings
Your wedding marks the beginning of a new chapter in your lives, and getting married in a church is a special way of sharing this with God and his people. If you are interested in getting married at our church, or would like to find out more about what this would involve, please get in touch with the Rector Grace Gaze.
Funerals
Christians believe that there is hope of a life beyond death through what Christ has won on the cross. However, even those who share a faith find losing a loved one hard. Losing someone, whatever their age and whatever the circumstance, can be a shock and everyone experiences grief differently.
The funeral service is an occasion where we are able to express our faith, whist also processing the difficult and complex feelings that come with losing someone we love. Typically, the funeral director is responsible for liaising with the Rector to arrange a funeral, but if you would like to speak to the Rector about a funeral service or support with a bereavement, then don’t hesitate to get in touch.
