Dear Friends,
This week we continue our run of important feasts in the Church’s year as we celebrate Trinity Sunday, and then Corpus Christi on Thursday.
This Sunday we have Masses at 8.00 am and 10.45 am (please note there is no service at 9.15 am), and end the day with Solemn Evensong at 6.30 pm.
On Thursday we give thanks for the great gift of the Eucharist, with Masses at 11.00 am and 7.30 pm. The later High Mass will include an opportunity for devotion before the blessed sacrament, and will be followed by drinks.
These feasts bring us deeply into the mystery of God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—a mystery that at first seems completely separate from us and totally beyond anything we could possibly experience; but as Thursday’s feast reminds us, it is a mystery that is accessible to us in the most intimate way, through the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist that he gave us. It is a mystery to be loved. I hope you’ll be able to join us as we worship, and give thanks for our beautiful faith.
With my prayers and best wishes,
Fr Alex
