Children are welcome at all our services, and we are always delighted to have them with us. Please don't worry if your child makes noise during a service - they are worshipping God in their own way! Activity bags are available for children during our 10.45 am High Mass.
We have plenty of opportunities for families and young people to engage with our life here.
SPECIAL SERVICES
Breakfast Praise - the first Sunday of the month, from 9.00 am
This is a new Sunday gathering especially for families with young children. Arrive from 9.00 am for a free breakfast with coffee and hot chocolate, followed by relaxed and interactive worship and singing, and ending with fun craft activities. This is a great service to try if you're not used to church, or don't feel comfortable bringing young children to more traditional services (though we love to see and hear them at any service!)
Family Mass - the second and third Sundays of the month, 9.15 am
This beautiful celebration of the Eucharist lasts around 30 minutes and is designed especially for families and young people. Children lead the reading, serving, and singing. There is an interactive short talk from the priest. All are welcome to come up the hall afterwards for juice, hot drinks, and biscuits. We do this on the second and third Sundays of the month.
All together at 10.45 am - the fourth Sunday of the month
On the fourth (and fifth) Sundays of the month we all come together at 10.45 am for the High Mass, a bit shorter than normal, and with some of our young people taking part in different ways. It's a good opportunity to experience all the fullness of our tradition.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
We have a Junior Choir that rehearses on Friday evenings and sings at the Family Service on Sunday mornings, as well as at special services around Christmas. New singers are always welcome! Please get in touch with the Parish Administrator for more details: [email protected]
'Playtime' is our Toddler Group that meets every Friday in term time from 9.30 to 11.30 am.
A team of volunteers regularly delivers Open the Book in a local primary school, bringing Bible stories alive for young children.
We hope you will join us.
