Our four churches belong in turn to a wider group of churches called the Bowland and Ewecross Deanery. This consists of the 21 Anglican churches in the area bounded by Thornton in Lonsdale, Keasden, Gargrave, and Horton-in-Ribblesdale. The clergy of these churches meet regularly for the exchange of news and mutual support; our resident retired clergy are also supported through the Deanery. The Deanery Synod, consisting of clergy and 'lay' members, discusses various issues relating to church and wider life, and acts as a bridge between the parishes and the Leeds Diocesan Synod. There are a number of deanery events each year including a series of Lent meetings and a summer social. You can download a map of the Deanery Churches here.

Deanery Lent Series 2026 - Music of our Hearts.

Wednesday evenings February 25th, March 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th

Settle Parish Church, 7.00-9.00pm.  

A series of meetings to hear about, and experience, a variety of music and hymnody from our Christian traditions old and new. The closing session on 25th March will be a DIY Songs of Praise when you are invited to request a hymn and share what it means to you. All welcome.
