Oxenhope: St Mary the Virgin
Welcome to St Mary the Virgin, Oxenhope. Please do visit us for any service or just simply to find a quiet, special place to spend some time in thought or prayer. Do browse our site to learn a bit more about us or get in touch with us for more information.
It is important at this time of COVID-19 (coronavirus) that we share the following information with you:
As of today (17th March 2020) the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have asked churches to suspend public services. This means that all Sunday services (including Shine), along with Tuesday morning prayer, are on hold. Social activities such as bellringing, book group, toddlers, the community cafe and house group are also on hold until such time as the situation improves - as are Guides, Brownies and Rainbows. If you are unsure about whether something is going ahead, please contact us via this page.
We are live-streaming our Sunday 10 am service on our Facebook page here, and would love you to join us: https://www.facebook.com/stmarysoxenhope/. You do not need a Facebook account to be able to see this page. Orders of service, reflections, intercessions and children's resources for the service may be found on the notices page.
We are sorry about this unprecedented situation, but in the meantime we will continue to support efforts to care for vulnerable folk in the village - and of course, our prayers for the village will not stop. If you would like us to pray for you especially, please do get in touch.
