Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO at [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
As a parish we are committed to helping everyone learn and worship in a safe environment. We have adopted the safeguarding policy and procedures of Southwark Diocese, ‘A Safe Church’, and the relevant documents can be found on our website.
Our recruitment process for those working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults includes DBS check, references, and induction. The PCC reviews our practices on a regular basis to ensure that we comply with our Safeguarding policy.
