Parish Eucharist

Occuring
Every Sunday at for 1 hour, 10 mins
Venue
St George
Address
Westbourne Crescent Edgbaston Birmingham, B15 3DQ, United Kingdom

Our main act of Sunday worship, celebrated in the body of the church. We explore the Bible together through reading and preaching, and share in the sacrament of Christ's body and blood. Our worship of God is enriched by music, art, symbol and gesture. We mark the times and seasons, and special feast days through the year.

We aim to be an open and inclusive community, and you will find a warm welcome. Please make yourself known to Fr Sam, our Vicar, or the person leading the service. They will be delighted to speak to you. Many visitors to the area and students from the local universities make their home here.

Primary school aged children are welcomed to Junior Church which runs for the first part of the service. We welcome children of any age - there is no need to worry about noise or anything else! Young people aged 11-18 are encouraged to share in the liturgy and take roles serving and leading worship. On some Sundays the whole church shares in an all-age learning activity.

Once a month our robed adult choir sings the Mass setting, at other services we enjoy a professional Cantor. At All Age Eucharists the children's choir from St George's CofE school lead our music.

Occasionally, on the fifth Sunday of the month our 10.30am service is a Liturgy of the Word
