Church of England Diocese of Birmingham St. Stephen the Martyr Rednal

About Us

St Stephen’s is a living testimony to the saying that "Beauty is more than skin deep.” The unspectacular architecture on the outside certainly does not reflect the warm and all accepting welcome that is given on the inside. At St Stephen’s we believe that all who come to find and worship Jesus Christ are welcomed, valued and appreciated for who they are. Whatever your story, whatever your experience, you are welcome here – we would love to see you at our services.

On a Sunday we meet for worship at 8.30 and 10.00am. The early service is a short said service and the 10.00am with hymns – followed by excellent coffee and chat in the church hall. We also have facilities for Sunday activities for children and young people and a crèche. We delight in the broad range of ages, cultures and talents that are reflected in our regular worship congregation of 68 and our electoral role of 100.

The church is a focus for all sorts of community events during the week In addition to regular worship services there are a number of activities which take place in the Church Hall and Community Centre throughout the week including activities for Guiding and Scouting associations. We have a wonderful Stay and Play group that meet every day except Thursdays. Other regular events include Keep Fit exercises for over 50s – based on the osteoporosis exercise regime – as well as ‘Do Drop In’ lunches which provide a very good meal for all age groups every Thursday.
