Church of England Diocese of Birmingham The Holy Cross, Billesley Common

Holy Cross Billesley Common

Welcome to Holy Cross, a church which offers warmth and friendship as we seek to express the love of Jesus throughout our community.

You are invited to join us in for services of worship as we link with the seasons and festivals and through our varied community groups and social events.

"The parish of Billesley Common is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Birmingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."

You are welcome to join us for Sunday Worship at Holy Cross as we live stream from church through our Face Book page.
We are family friendly and can offer children's activities on line using ROOTS material with permission
The photo shown was taken inside Holy Cross at Pentecost, 2019.

From today ( Wednesday 6th January 2021) Holy Cross has made the difficult decision to once more close the doors to the church building due to rising rates of the corona virus locally. Our intention is to keep our community safe, while supporting the NHS and helping to prevent Covid-19 transmission, so we return to a pattern of live streaming our worship at 10.00am on Sunday's AND on Wednesdays at 11am.

We will follow a simple pattern of A Service of the Word on Sundays and Seasonal Prayers on Wednesdays.
We will include something, an activity and prayer, for children and families linked to our themed Sunday worship.
These will be available via our Face Book Page.

We will return to the worship pattern listed below once it is safe to do so.

First Sunday All Ages and family friendly Holy Communion
Second, third, fifth Sundays Common Worship Holy Communion
Fourth Sunday is a reflective Service of the Word
Children are valued in church and as we are currently unable to offer any shared toys, we ask if carers would bring some quiet toys for babies and toddlers at this time.
