Church Apple Tree Brings a Bumper Crop

This week, our Parish Environmental Contact James, with the help of his daughter and brother – picked the apples from the church apple tree.

The Eco Group are already planning ways for the apples to be enjoyed, with plenty of fruit set aside to share amongst the congregation - look out for the box and help yourselves!

Growing and sharing food is a small but powerful way to live out our faith. It reminds us of the importance of caring for God’s creation, valuing what is produced locally, and strengthening community through generosity. As Proverbs 11:25 tells us: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” In sharing the fruit, we are sharing the blessings of God with one another.
