Supporting Our Community: Food Donations for St Mary's Pantry

Following the recent closure of Smethwick Foodbank after many years of serving local people in crisis, the PCC have decided that our church will now be collecting non-perishable food donations to support St Mary's Pantry. The foodbank’s closure makes it even more important that we continue to support local families in practical ways.

St Mary's Pantry, based at St Mary’s Church in Bearwood, offers an affordable way for local households to access good-quality food each week while also providing a welcoming place for community and support. Donations of long-life food help keep the pantry stocked and enable it to continue serving people across the local area.

How you can help

If you are able, please bring donations of non-perishable food to church. Every tin, packet or jar makes a difference and will help support local families through Bearwood Pantry.

At the moment, they are particularly in need of:

  • Sunflower/ Vegetable Oil

  • Tea and Coffee

  • Hot chocolate

  • Jam / Honey

  • Size 7 Nappies

Thank you for your continued generosity and for helping us share God’s love in practical ways within our community.
