Join us for a special Ascension Day Holy Communion Service as we come together in worship and celebration.

This year, it is our turn to host the service in partnership with Smethwick Old Church, and we warmly welcome you to share in this sacred occasion.

Ascension Day marks the moment, 40 days after Easter, when Jesus ascended into heaven, completing his earthly ministry and preparing the way for the Holy Spirit to come at Pentecost.

Let us gather in faith and fellowship as we commemorate Christ’s ascension. We look forward to welcoming you!

Join us as we work to document all the trees, plants and flowers on our church grounds. This is part of the national Churches Count on Nature survey and coincides with the Great Big Green Week.

Churches Count on Nature is a nationwide initiative that encourages people to explore and record the biodiversity in churchyards and church land. The data collected helps build a better picture of the wildlife across the country and supports conservation efforts. It’s a great way to care for creation and connect with nature in your local area.

We’ll be using the iNaturalist app to help with identification, so no prior knowledge is needed – just your curiosity and enthusiasm!

The Big Butterfly Count

The Big Butterfly Count is a nationwide citizen science survey designed to help assess the health of our environment. Launched in 2010, it has quickly become the world’s largest butterfly survey.

After the service, all are warmly invited to spend 15 minutes helping to count butterflies in the church gardens. Alternatively, you’re very welcome to take part at home at your convenience — the event runs from 18th July to 10th August.
