Bring your pets along to our Animal Service! It’s a chance to celebrate the animals we share our lives with and think about how we can care for them. All pets are welcome (just keep them on a lead or in a carrier) or bring a photo, and they can each have a special blessing. We’ll also take a moment to remember much-loved pets who are no longer with us.

We invite all young people in school years 7-11 to our monthly youth group! Come along for an evening filled with food, creative activities, engaging conversations, and fun games. We meet in the hall where we explore faith together and enjoy each other’s company. All our leaders are DBS checked.

Everyone is warmly welcome to gather with us on Tuesdays in the choir vestry (please enter through the back door). We share in Morning Prayer from Common Worship and enjoy a relaxed time for open reflection and discussion on the day’s readings, along with extemporary prayer. It’s a lovely chance to connect, reflect, and support one another in faith.

Sound Sparks by ABRSM

Sound Sparks is a brand new programme of live music and activity sessions created especially for children aged 0–4 and their families.

Bursting with live music, movement, songs, storytelling, play and hands-on fun, each session is a magical introduction to the joy of music. Co-created by early-years experts, musicians and parents, Sound Sparks is all about sparking curiosity, creativity and connection through sound.

Join us for a free Sound Sparks Pop-up in the Warley Woods on Friday 8 August, then get ready for a 6-week series of weekly sessions starting this September in St Hilda's Community Hall.

Creationtide Garden Pilgrimage

Pondering Faith

Pondering returns this autumn, an opportunity to learn together over hot drinks and pastries as we consider what it means to follow Jesus.

The next two sessions will focus on Confirmation and everyone is invited whether you’ve preparing for Confirmation or not. Those who have been confirmed are encouraged to come too as we learn together. The dates are 27th September and 25th October in the choir vestry.

From spring through autumn, we invite volunteers to help tend the church front gardens on the first Saturday of each month, weather permitting. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just curious to give it a try, you’re warmly welcome to join us for all or part of a session! Some bring their own tools, while others use those we provide at the church—either way, your help makes a difference.

Our neighbouring church, St Mary’s, Bearwood, hosts a monthly Repair Café, usually on the first Saturday of the month. Their skilled repair team is ready to help fix any items you bring, saving the environment, one repair at a time!

St John's Harborne also have a Repair Cafe, usually every second and fourth Saturday in the month. Please do check each church's website before attending in case dates and times change.

Ordination of Priests and Deacons

During this service at Birmingham Cathedral, Diane Reeves will be ordained Deacon and come to serve us as our Curate. After the morning service, we’ll be gathering for a bring and share lunch to celebrate Rev’d Diane Reeves joining us as our curate.

It would be lovely if you could bring along a dish to share. As Diane is vegan, you might like to consider vegetarian or vegan options – though all contributions are most welcome.

As part of our Eco Church commitment, we’re also trying to reduce waste, so if possible please avoid too much single-use plastic packaging and perhaps bring your food in a reusable container.
