Come for a moment of peace and reflection at our church, open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm for private prayer, and also after our Sunday morning service until 5:00 pm. Whether you’re looking for a quiet space to meditate, reflect, seek solace, or simply want to have a look around, you are warmly welcomed to visit.

Our Annual Harvest Festival Service will include a collection for St Mary’s Pantry, supporting those in our local community who are most in need. Download the attached list to see which items are most needed.

We invite all young people in school years 7-11 to our monthly youth group! Come along for an evening filled with food, creative activities, engaging conversations, and fun games. We meet in the hall where we explore what we think about the world together and enjoy each other’s company. All our leaders are DBS checked.

Join us for Tuesday Morning Prayer

Everyone is warmly welcome to gather with us on Tuesdays in the choir vestry (please enter through the back door). We share in Morning Prayer from Common Worship and enjoy a relaxed time for open reflection and discussion on the day’s readings, along with extemporary prayer. It’s a lovely chance to connect, reflect, and support one another in faith.

Join us for a peaceful midweek Holy Communion service. Held on most Wednesdays, though occasionally, a traditional service of Morning Prayer may be held instead. This peaceful gathering, using Common Worship, offers a time for reflection and spiritual renewal. Whether you're seeking a moment of calm or a deeper connection, you are welcome to join us.

Breathing Space is a time to practise the ancient Christian tradition of contemplative silent prayer. It is an invitation to simply be present with God. To discover God’s peace in a noisy world. And when we are at peace we might create ripples of peace in the world around us.

Breathing Space is open to all who are seeking peace, and who long for a deeper connection with God and with others.

The gathering will be held in the vestry. Please enter the church through the back door in the car park. You don’t have to come every time, just come when you can. If you want to know more please speak to Fran.

Thanks to support from Sandwell Council's Go Play Grassroots Programme for 2026–2027, we're delighted to offer free drop-and-go play sessions for children and young people aged 5–12 years who live in Sandwell or up to 16yrs with SEND.

Our experienced playworkers create a welcoming space where children can play freely, make friends, take risks, build confidence, and follow their own ideas. There are no screens, no pressure, and no right or wrong way to play - just plenty of opportunities for fun, creativity, and adventure.

Children will have access to a wide range of indoor and outdoor play experiences, including:

🌟 Large loose parts and open-ended materials

🌟 Arts, crafts, making and creating

The Willow Ensemble return for an atmospheric evening concert with lights and candles. They will be playing a new programme of music, which we are really excited to hear!

The Willow Ensemble is a contemporary classical trio based in the Midlands featuring flute, clarinet and piano. Melissa (piano), Nicole (flute) and Rosie (clarinet), all alumni of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, have been brought together by their love of ensemble playing, exploring an eclectic range of chamber repertoire.

Everyone is welcome to our Sunday morning service, where we gather as a community to share in worship and fellowship. During the service, we celebrate Holy Communion, a sacred time when we come together to remember Jesus’ love and sacrifice. It’s a moment for reflection, gratitude, and connection, as we share bread and wine as a symbol of our faith.

After the service, you’re warmly invited to stay for refreshments - a chance to enjoy conversations and catch up with others in our church family.

This new 'Woodchips' group is for 0-6 year olds and offers a place where children will grow in confidence, learn about the world and start to understand how to value our planet and each other. We'd love you and your little ones to join us and be part of our community.

As part of this service of Evensong at Birmingham Cathedral, Bishop Michael will be commissioning all his advisors and the LGBT+ chaplaincy team. Our Curate, Mother Diane Reeves will be commissioned as an LGBT+ Chaplain and our Vicar Jenni as The Bishop’s Advisor for Interfaith Ministry. All are welcome to attend and please do pray for them both in their new roles.

A gentle, safe space for anyone who has been bereaved to gather, share stories, find company and comfort.

Put on your gloves and join us for litter picking as we follow the parish boundary, helping to make our community cleaner and greener. Come along and make a difference! We'll be meeting in Lightwoods Park.

We have a limited number of litter pickers and high vis vests available, bring your own if you have them. Please bring gloves!

Our neighbouring church, St Mary’s, Bearwood, hosts a monthly Repair Café, usually on the first Saturday of the month. Their skilled repair team is ready to help fix any items you bring, saving the environment, one repair at a time!

St John's Harborne also have a Repair Cafe, usually every second and fourth Saturday in the month. Please do check each church's website before attending in case dates and times change.

Join us on the second Friday of the month from 9:30 to 11:15am for a delightful monthly art and nature playgroup, specially designed for families with children aged 0-7 years. Supported by Arts Council England, this is a wonderful opportunity for little ones to explore their creativity and connect with nature in a fun, nurturing environment.

Everyone is invited to our Nativity trail around our church gardens and hall! We’ll come together to bring the story of the first Christmas to life with costumes, songs, and perhaps even some animals!

All ages are welcome - dress up, sing along, and experience the wonder of Christmas in a fun, community celebration.

Join us for an all-age Christingle service! This special service is a wonderful way to celebrate the light of Christ in our lives and to reflect on the joy and hope that comes with it.

Each Christingle is made up of an orange representing the world, a candle symbolising Jesus as the light of the world, and sweets and dried fruit representing God’s creations. Together, we’ll explore the meaning behind these elements.
