St James the Great, Shirley, Solihull

St James the Great is one of two churches within Shirley Parish, alongside St John the Divine, Tidbury Green. We work together, and alongside Christians of other traditions in Shirley, to know Jesus Christ in our own lives and to make him known through our actions and our words. We welcome all, irrespective of background or belief, to join our worship and/or the other activities and community actions we are involved in. Safeguarding

Our parish of Shirley is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Birmingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (see information on our Safeguarding page, accessed using the link below).
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
