St James the Great, Shirley, Solihull

St James the Great is one of three churches within Shirley Parish, alongside St John the Divine, Tidbury Green, and Christ the King. We work together, and alongside Christians of other traditions in Shirley, to know Jesus Christ in our own lives and to make him known through our actions and our words. We welcome all, irrespective of background or belief, to join our worship and/or the other activities and community actions we are involved in. Have a look on our website to find out more.....

The parish of Shirley is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Birmingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
