About Us

We attract a lively and friendly congregation, from the local area and further away. We celebrate Holy Communion at 10am every Sunday; and a family service once a month. At all our services, there is an area for the very young to occupy themselves safely during the worship.
 

We try to meet the needs of the older members who are residents of the Court of Lady Katherine Leveson, and children, through the Lady Katherine Leveson Primary School, whose pupils and staff attend for a weekly service every Thursday during the school term.

Some members of the congregation have been part of the life and worship of St. Mary's for a number of years. Some have joined the life and worship more recently. We encourage a growing number of children to be involved in the life and worship of the congregation of St. Mary's.

We foster an open, thoughtful and positive attitude to faith in the in the modern world, taking account of the realities of our lives and of the fundamentals of the Christian way. Pastoral needs are met with compassion. Baptisms, marriages and funerals are given attentive and sympathetic care.

Our beautiful church (see picture gallery)  is often open. You are welcome to come inside to pray or meditate.
