Getting here

We are in the heart of Wakefield, on Wentworth Street/ St John’s Square, within walking distance of both the railway station and bus station. If you come by car, then parking is free on the Square (Except Mon-Fri 8:00-9:30 and 15:00-16:30 when a permit is needed). Otherwise, there is lots of on-street meter parking on Margaret Street or St John’s North. There is also a small payable car park on Wentworth Street in front of the (unused) Parish Centre as well as a large multi-storey car park next to Westgate train station.

From the city centre take Bond Street north from County Hall, this becomes Wentworth Street. The church can be seen on the left about a quarter of a mile on foot.

By Car: from the north or south exit the M1 at junction 41 and take the A650 towards Wakefield. At the 4th roundabout stay in the right hand lane and go straight on, staying in the right hand lane to the traffic lights. Go straight on and the church is on the right in about a quarter of a mile.

By Bus: The 110 Arriva bus service runs between Leeds and south Wakefield. Alight on Leeds Road at St John's North (From Wakefield) or on Leeds Rd at Kensington Road (from Leeds). Walk along St John's North towards the church in front of you.

By Train: From Wakefield Westgate Station, turn left and follow the road which rises to a T junction with Bond Street just past Wakefield College Enterprise Centre. Turn left and the church is on your left , approximately half a mile.
