Becoming a Light on a Hill

The interior of our church building has been designed to make the space flexible for all occasions and for all people. The inside of the traditional Victorian Grenoside Stone building is filled with light and comfortable chairs replaced the old pews some years ago.

If you prefer the more traditional style of liturgical service from the Book of Common Prayer come and join us once a month at an early Sunday morning service. If, however, you feel more at home with a mix of contemporary and traditional songs, liturgy and informal prayer and worship, sermons and interactive discussions you will find all this and more each Sunday morning at 9.30am. After the service everyone (including non-churchgoers) is invited to share tea, coffee, biscuits (sometimes cake) and fellowship.

Everyone is welcome to any of our services - we specialise in providing good quality hospitality and a warm welcome. The services are usually led by Simon, our Vicar, one of the Readers or another member of our great Ministry Team. Children are always welcome; their groups run on two Sundays each month and there's always a corner with things for them to do in church if they prefer to stay within sight of their grown ups.

In the church itself we have a meeting room, an accessible toilet and church catering space. The kitchen in the church hall is modern and functional and the hall is available to hire for parties and other events.
