Join the Baby & Toddler Group with a Difference…
If you have recently become a new parent or carer, you’ll appreciate just how important it can be to share experiences – or even just a friendly cuppa – with others in a similar situation.

Praise and Play at St Michael’s Church, Bramhall, is a baby and toddler group with a difference, says helper Jill Elston. “Our aim is to be an intentionally small, welcoming group with a homely, family atmosphere,” Jill explains. “The children all really enjoy the 20-minute fun time in church and it’s amazing how often joining the group can lead to firm friendships.”

Praise and Play meets every Thursday between 10am and 12 noon in the church hall’s family room. You’ll get coffee, tea, refreshments – as well as stories, songs, music and even bubbles! Intrigued? Then you are invited to come along to find out more.

“It’s a more quiet and relaxed atmosphere compared to some other groups. We know how hard it can be to get little ones out of the door, so you can arrive really any time between 10 and 10.45am and still be in time for songs and stories – and you don’t need to be from a religious background to join in. Everyone is made to feel welcome.”

Two of the group’s regulars explain why Praise and Play offers a different kind of weekly pick-me-up that they really look forward to:

“This lovely group is our favourite. It’s the perfect combination of play, singing, stories and the parents can have a nice chat. The staff are wonderful and we have made some real friends here.” Anna, Bramhall.

“It’s the perfect group for us. It’s peaceful and entertaining and my girls love the music in Church and stories.” Clare, Bramhall.
