Pelton and West Pelton

The parishes of Pelton and West Pelton minister to a group of ex-mining villages and new housing developments which lie to the north west of Chester-le-Street in County Durham. The villages include; Pelton, Ouston, Urpeth Grange, Newfield, Pelton Lane Ends, Grange Villa, West Pelton, High Handenhold, Beamish and the interestingly named No Place! For those who are unfamiliar with the area much of Beamish Open Air Museum lies within the Parish Boundaries. You will find some photographs of the churches on our website. Sunday and midweek services in both of our churches, cover a range of styles from traditional to contemporary. Our aim is to be a church for everyone, a place where we can worship and grow together in faith regardless of age, experience or background and to be a worshiping people which seeks to reach out into our local community to share the Good News of Jesus in love and service.
