Church of England Diocese of Southwark Forest Hill, Saint George with Lower Sydenham, Saint Michael and All Angels

Perry Hill, St George

As a parish we are a blend of the traditional and the contemporary, an open, inclusive church serving the people of the parish. In our worship and in our social life we seek to express and share God’s love for everyone. We welcome all, regardless of age, ethnicity, sexuality or church background. Exploring together, we journey towards a fullness of life offered to us through Jesus Christ’s self-sacrificing love. A mixture of those who are strong in their faith with others who are filled with questions and doubt, we encourage a willingness to explore our faith and be ready to be surprised by God. Knowing we are loved, we are ready to share our faith with others, helping to build peace and justice in the world.

On the first Sunday of the month there is a special service at 11:30 am with children in mind. On the third Sunday our all age communion service involves the children with songs, stories and games.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor - to find their details, please click the button below. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
