You are welcome to join us for Choral Evensong which takes place nearly every day.

The jewel in the English choral tradition, the words of this service are largely unchanged in 500 years, but there has been a wealth of music composed for those words over the centuries.

Evensong at Bristol Cathedral includes anything from music composed in the 16th century, to music composed last year. The service lasts approximately 40 minutes (one hour on Sunday, to include a sermon, and additional hymn) and is the perfect way to end your day.

All are welcome.

Our service of Morning Prayer is live-streamed on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter, from the home of one of our clergy.

A said Eucharist with hymns and a quiet moment of reflection. From 11.00am - 12.00pm The congregation will join the city at the cenotaph to remember and honour all who have served our nation.

A Requiem Eucharist in remembrance of those who gave thier likes in service to their country, marking 80 years since the end of World War II. The Cathedral Choir will perform a selection of reflective music appropriate to the occassion.

Take a pause in the middle of your day and enjoy live music in the beautiful setting of Bristol Cathedral. Our Lunchtime Recitals bring together talented musicians from the city and beyond, offering performances that range from classical favourites to new compositions. Lasting around 45 minutes, these informal concerts are free to attend, but we are grateful for any donation you are able to make. All are welcome!

This atmospheric service marks the beginning of the Church year, as we prepare for Christ’s coming at Christmas and at the end of time. Beginning in darkness, the Cathedral gradually fills with light as congregational candles are lit while the Choir processes through the building.

La Nativité Organ Recital by Paul Walton
Experience an unforgettable evening of music, light and atmosphere as Paul Walton performs Messiaen’s La Nativité du Seigneur.
Performed by candlelight and accompanied by the gentle fragrance of incense, this recital offers a full sensory experience that draws you into the mystery and wonder of the Nativity.
Following an 18 month restoration, the cathedral organ will once again fill the space with its resplendent sound. Messiaen’s 1935 masterpiece, rich in colour and spiritual depth, will be brought to life through Walton’s expressive performance.

Bring your little ones to Toddlers’ Carols, a joyful and relaxed celebration created especially for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children.
The Cathedral will be beautifully decorated for Christmas, and we will sing favourite carols and share a simple retelling of the Nativity story. Full of music, excitement, and a wonderful festive atmosphere.
There’s no need to worry about noise or wriggles. Everyone is welcome just as they are.
