Come & Sing Choral Evensong

Occurring
for 4 hours, 30 mins
Venue
Bristol Cathedral
Address
College Green Bristol, BS1 5TJ, United Kingdom

Join us for a special Come and Sing Choral Evensong, an opportunity for singers of all abilities to experience the beauty and tradition of Anglican choral worship — and to sing alongside the magnificent Cathedral organ.

Whether you are a regular choir member, an enthusiastic amateur, or simply enjoy singing sacred music, you are warmly invited to take part. The afternoon begins with a rehearsal led by our Cathedral music team, where participants will learn and prepare the music together.

Participants will then sing in the service of Choral Evensong, leading the congregation in psalms, canticles, and anthem within the Cathedral’s historic setting. Accompanied by the Cathedral’s organ, singers will experience the rich and uplifting sound that lies at the heart of the Anglican choral tradition.

This is a wonderful chance to sing inspiring choral music, meet fellow singers, and enjoy the rare experience of performing with the Cathedral organ in a service of worship. Music will be provided, and the Evensong service will be open to the wider community to attend.

Rehearsal: 1.30pm
Evensong: 5.15pm

All singers are welcome.
