Puttenham: St Mary
St Mary's Church in Puttenham is set in the beautiful countryside of the northwest corner of Hertfordshire. It is surrounded by fields, so enjoys a peaceful location. It is our "Afternoon Church" of the team parish and services are held at 3.30pm every Sunday afternoon. The church is open from lunchtime so is an ideal place to combine a walk in the fields before joining the service a little later. There are different styles of worship but most use liturgy from The Book of Common Prayer, but with a Taize service on the third Sunday of the month and Sunday Worship on the fifth. Hospitality is very important at St Mary's and on the fourth Sunday you will be treated to tea following the Sung Evensong service. Throughout the year there are afternoon teas and lunches, and breakfast on Mayday following early morning madrigals is a must!
