St Mary's Parish Church
Welcome to St Mary's Church, a friendly Anglican community on Watford High Street.
During the current restrictions St Mary's Church is open for private prayer on Wednesdays and Saturdays each week between 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm. There are people there to welcome you and to pray with you. Please wear a face mask and follow directions. There will be an on-screen presentation of the Midweek Meditation on Wednesdays at 12.30pm.
Due to the Tier 4 restrictions from 20th December the leadership team have taken the decision to go back to on-line services only until further notice - this includes services over the Christmas period.
Our beautiful church building is located in the heart of Watford, where the church has been the spiritual centre of the town for over 800 years. Today it is home to a vibrant group of ordinary people who are discovering that Jesus Christ is relevant to the lives of adults and children in the 21st century.
The parish of Watford is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of St Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
