A relaxed service for children of all ages.
The Christingle is an orange that represents the world. It has a red ribbon around it for the blood of Jesus, four sticks with sweets or dried fruit on them for the four seasons and the gifts of the earth, and a candle stuck in the top for Jesus as the light of the world.
The service involves singing, and prayers. At the end, the candles are lit in the darkened church, which is a very beautiful and symbolic moment.
