St Helen's Church is the Parish Church of Wheathampstead and has a sister-Church, St Peters, at Gustard Wood. All are welcome to visit and to join us in Sunday worship and social activities. We provide a variety of services to suit different tastes and for everyone to grow to be part of the Christian family. Please have a look at the services page or our website http://www.sth-stp.org for details. We hope you find that what we offer suits you and your family.
There is always something happening in St Helen's Church - the Community Coffee Shop is open in the chancel Monday-Wednesday and on Saturday mornings, term time and a busy parents-and-tots group runs on Wednesday mornings. Bell ringers and a youth- and adult- choir practice in church in the evenings. Off site, we hold study and fellowship groups, youth fellowship and Tea Time Church (St Helen's School Hall). Visit us to find out more!
Our churches are also important to the wider neighbourhood. The churchyard at St Helen’s is still open for burials. Remembrance Sunday and other seasonal services are important civic occasions in the village.
Our Ministerial Team consists of The Revd. Richard Banham (Rector) and 2 Readers. We are also fortunate to have retired clergy in the village who play an active role in our church life.
