Church of the Transfiguration

Welcome to Church of the Transfiguration Kempston. We are a church made up of different people. Younger, older, whatever background or sexuality, you are welcome here. We aim to be an inclusive Church, a home for everyone especially all who feel they don't belong anywhere. If you would like to know more please contact Rev Andrea or come and see on Sundays at 10 am

The Church of Transfiguration takes Safeguarding seriously. We have worked hard to reach a good level of Safeguarding and protection of  children, young people and  adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own safeguarding officers: Rev Andrea Maffei and Annette Chandler. Their contact details can be found on Church of the Transfigurations website. The Diocesan Safeguarding Officer can be contacted in all eventuality. Details can be found on the Diocese of St Albans website. If you are concerned for an adult or child please contact any of the Safeguarding officers. If there is immediate danger please contact the Police.

"The parish of Kempston: The Church of the Transfiguration is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St.Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."

Although government guidance is changing we still encourage the wearing of masks in church to protect each other.
