Church of England Diocese of St.Albans Studham

St Mary the Virgin

Welcome to St Mary's Church Studham

We are delighted that as from the 19th July 2020 Sunday services are beginning again in the churches of our Benefice, alternating each Sunday in our three churches and on 30th August services of Holy Communion will resume.

On Sunday 30th August there will be a service of Holy Communion at St Mary's Studham at 10.30am

St Mary's is also open daily, usually from 9am until 5pm. Please come in to offer your prayers, to enjoy a place to be still or to explore the history of the medieval Grade 1listed building.

We are following the government guidance and are asking everyone to use the hand sanitiser provided, to wear a face covering and to maintain the required social distance of 2m.

Our online worship is continuing, now at 9am on Sundays.   More information can be found on the Nicola Lenthall YouTube channel and on our website at

The parish of Studham is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops  guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, (PSO). The Diocese of St Albans Safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser (DSA) who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been  harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact the DSA.  If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adult Services
