Music and Worship

The eight bells at St. Owen's are normally rung on Sunday mornings prior to the 10:30am service, occasionally for Evensong, and on special occasions.
Practice takes place on Tuesday evenings between 7:45 and 9:15 pm.
All visitors welcome whether they merely wish to ascend the tower, watch ringing taking place or try their hand, under STRICT supervision, at the end of one of the ropes.
We have an annual outing followed by dinner and opportunities are available to ring at other towers in the area.
Please use the 'Get in Touch' for more information.

St Owen's holds a number of concerts during each year. Please visit our website or Facebook page for more information. Or see the poster up around the village.

The organ in St Owen's has two manuals and pedal board, and is situated in the north choir chapel behind window tracery.    The original parts date from 1907/8 built by Norman and Beard Ltd.  There was a considerable rebuild in 1968 when new stops were added as well as some stops from the house organ which had stood in Bromham House.  Part of the Great organ has remained mechanical action with the rest of the action being electrified.  The organ, which has 714 pipes, has a large tone and sounds well both in the nave and the chancel.

The choirs of St Mary's and St Owens form a Benefice Choir who sing at the 10.30am services every Sunday.  Choir practices are on Fridays at 7pm and generally take place in the church where the Sunday service is to be held.  The choir also sing at special services.  New members are always welcome.  For information please contact David Williams at [email protected]
