Celebrations for the Coronation

Community_news

We would like to offer an Open Invitation to everyone at St Michael’s plus all our friends in the local community to come along on that day to celebrate this momentous occasion. Some of us of a certain age will remember the 1953 Coronation and so you are, therefore, asked to bring along any memorabilia of royal occasions for us all to view and recall.

For £2 you will be able to enjoy a delicious selection of cakes with tea/coffee and soft drinks, culminating in a glass of fizz as we raise our glasses to King Charles.

You’ll be invited to take part in our regular low-key activities which includes a table quiz, creating much fun and laughter whilst testing your general knowledge, plus our usual bring and buy stall (with super bargains) and wide selection of greetings cards.

Just as important also are our Church services
around that time as detailed below
:-

Sunday 7th May
8am Holy Communion
10am Service of the Word

Sunday 14th May
10am Holy Communion
6pm Festal Choral Evensong in Thanksgiving for the Coronation of King Charles III
Preacher: The Rt Rev’d Dr Jane Mainwaring, The Bishop of Hertford

We will be praying for the King at all services culminating in the worship at 6pm on the 14th May.
