Pop in for a chat and a coffee or tea. No fee for refreshments, donations gratefully accepted but not essential.

Every Tuesday mornings, we pray together using the Church of England Daily Prayer book, with bible readings, a reflection and a psalm.
It is a quiet, gentle gathering to prepare for the day ahead.

A time of open, informal prayer for the town and local community.

We gather to listen to bible readings and a sermon by one of the clergy team, singing contemporary songs and traditional hymns and prayers.
Our children go to the Upper Room for Kids Church during the service and join us later to share what they have been learning too.
All are welcome and we always serve refreshments after the service-do stay for a coffee and a chat.
We don't have a communion in this service so if you would like to receive communion, please check our services in the churches in our benefice at Aspenden and Westmill.

You are welcome to join us at St Albans Cathedral as we support our curate, Reverend Sarah Bagnall, as she is ordained priest. For further information about this service, please speak to Kirsty.

The service includes bible readings, a sermon, given by one of the team, contemporary and traditional worship music and prayers.
Children are very welcome and there is a dedicated area for children and their carers in the church too.
Everyone is welcome to join us and we serve tea/coffee after the service and take the opportunity to catch up with each other.

You are welcome to come along to a special concert of Summer Songs and Music by the Priory Singers and Wild About Recorders. There is no charge for entry, donations will be gratefully received for St Peter's Church.

Layston School will be holding their end of the school year service on Thursday 16th July.
Please note, there is only seating capacity for those with tickets issued by the school.

Members of St Peter's PCC will gather to discuss the mission and running of the church.
Please note that the church will not be available for access during this time.

St Peter's will open for hot and cold drinks, light lunches and cakes on the annual classic car show day.

Buntingford Lice Presents: Highway Cello
In 2022 Kenneth cycled with his cello strapped on the back of his bike from Hadrian’s Wall to Rome, performing every day en route.
His book ‘Highway Cello’ tells the story of his journey through readings and music. Expect a wide variety of solo cello music, ranging from Bach to Bond, tangos and Irish airs, all interspersed by Kenneth’s acidic poetic commentary.

This should prove to be a most fascinating and entertaining evening!

We gather together for our worship at 10am,Sunday 27th December 2026. This will be the one service in the benefice.

There will be a Wedding held at St Peter's on Saturday 22nd May 2027. The church will be unavailable for any other access between 1pm - 4:30pm
