Our churchyard and the Additional Burial Ground on Stamford Avenue/Melbourn Road are both lovely green spaces teaming with nature.  If you enjoy plant or wildlife spotting, why not participate in the "Caring for Gods Acre" surveys during "Big Green Week" and record your observations, either using the App "iNaturalist" or download a paper form either from this page or from www.caringforgodsacre.org , and submit your observations for either Royston Parish Churchyard or Royston Parish Church Additional Burial Ground.   A "Starter Guide" called "Visit, Record, Enjoy" is available for refrence at the back of the church with lots of suggestions about what to look for.

Encourage younger members of your family to come along and be inspired by the Natural World!

Safety Notes:
Where possible, stick to the paths.

Wear long trousers to protect against insects or stinging nettles and thorny plants.
Respect the gravestones and monuments: do not walk or climb on the monuments or disturb them in any way.
Avoid touching or eating any of the plants.
