HOW TO BOOK FOR OUR TOWN HALL SERVICES:  Restrictions on the capacity of the Town Hall room mean that we can only admit a total of 30 people to our Public Worship, so we have decided that the fairest method to admit people is to have a booking system.  So, each week, if you would like to come to one of the services, please can you apply for a place for the following Sunday by e-mail to [email protected] between Thursday and Saturday.

Please note that you will need to apply each week for the forthcoming Sunday, you cannot book more than one week ahead. Joanne will reply to your e-mail to let you know whether or not you have got a place so that you do not have a wasted journey. We realise that none of this is ideal, but we are living in extraordinary times and we hope you will bear with us as we find our way forward.

CHUTNEY: Joanne's husband, Chris, has been trying his hand at making chutney.  He hasn't made any previously, but Joanne reports that his first attempts are rather good!  He has made Red Tomato, Green Tomato, Beetroot and Plum.  They are all ready to eat now, and cost £2.50 per jar.  All proceeds are being donated to the Church Funds.  To buy, contact Joanne Wallis by ringing 01763 246911 or email [email protected] to arrange delivery.

TIE A RIBBON ONTO THE CHURCH GATES TO REMEMBER A LOVED ONE THIS CHRISTMAS TIME: Ribbons will be available from our market stall on 5th December or you are welcome to use your own piece of ribbon (approx. 30 cm long).  You can also Download a poster to promote this event: link.

AUTUMN REFLECTIONS: The Diocesan senior staff are providing short weekly reflections throughout autumn to encourage us in the faith, which can be found online here:

BIN TWINNING: Do you remember how we twinned our toilets in church? Well now, thanks to one of our Mission Partners, Tearfund, we can twin our bins! It's thought that over 2 billion people around the world do not have their rubbish collected and therefore live amongst mountains of waste. For £45 we can twin our bin with another in a country such as Uganda and this will help projects to clean-up communities. We have already twinned our grey bin at the vicarage and we received a sticker to put on the bin so we can encourage others to do the same. For more details:

PRAYER DIARY FOR DECEMBER:<span style="font-size: 1rem;"> This month's prayer diary can be downloaded for use at home: </span><span style="font-size: 1rem;"></span>

ROYSTON FOODBANK: The team would be very grateful for tinned fruit and vegetables (ideally not chickpeas). Toiletries and treats are also welcome; although these aren't added as a part of a regular food box, they are available to families and it makes a big difference for them to have something over and above the basics. They don't need tinned tomatoes, pasta, rice, sauces, baked beans or soup. Donations can be left at the Evangelical Church on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

DAILY HOPE offers music, prayers and reflections as well as full worship services from the Church of England at the end of a telephone line. A Church of England initiative in partnership with CONNECTIONS at Holy Trinity Claygate, and Faith in Later Life. The line – which is available 24 hours a day on 0800 804 8044 – has been set up particularly with those unable to join online church services during the period of restrictions in mind. “With many in our country on lockdown, it's important that we support those who are feeling lonely and isolated, whatever age they are" - Archbishop Justin Welby.
