Church of England Diocese of St.Albans Therfield

St Mary's Therfield

Hello and welcome to St Mary's,

You are warmly invited to come along to any of our services or events. We are still a little impacted by the regulations and guidelines in place as a result of the coronavirus, but our Sunday worship is back at the same time of 10.15am each Sunday - even if it happens a little differently. As well as worship in our building on Sunday mornings, we also have a service that is online. More details on the 'Services and Events' page in the left hand menu. Our building is open for individual prayer every Sunday after the service as well as on a Wednesday.

Please have a look around this site to find out more.

If you are interested in finding out about having your wedding at St Mary's or having a christening, please be in touch.

The parish of Therfield is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St.Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Food Share

Every Wednesday, Sunday at 11:30 a.m. for 1hr 30m

Church Lane

Food Share is slightly different to a food bank because the donations come directly from food retail. The donations are food that have a sell-by date of that day on them, but that are still edible.
With our food share project we do help those who are in some financial need, but it is not just for those in need. Food Share is different from a food bank because it's for absolutely everyone. As well as helping those who need a hand, we are all doing our bit for the environment by eating food that would otherwise go to landfill!

We are all in extraordinary measures because of the Coronavirus. Even when the church building was shut, the people of the church are still doing church! And now we are beginning to be able to open our buildings again.
