Get sponsored to visit historic churches on foot, by bike or other means. It's a fun way to fundraise for your own local church too. Half the sponsor money goes to the church named by the person taking part.If you are taking part, St Peter's, Buntingford, St Mary's, Aspenden and St Mary the Virgin, Westmill will be open for visitors. Please note, the churches at Buntingford and Aspenden have kitchen and toilet facilities. Visit the Herts and Beds Historic Churches Trust website HERE
With over 500 visitors through the doors over the 3 days, and again a fabulously positive vibe in and around the village as the sun shone, we were able to have another wonderful weekend.Of our 55 exhibitors, displaying 380 pieces of work, we are delighted to say that 47 of them sold at least one piece with many selling more so we have lots of happy artists too. We are hugely grateful to Alex who plans the entire event, to all the volunteers, sponsors and artists. We couldn't do this without you. We have received some lovely emails of thanks from a number of artists, asking to pass on their thanks to everyone involved for their hard work & effort in contributing to what they also saw as a very successful event.
On Shrove Tuesday we held our third Pancake Day event at St Peter's Church. There was plenty of competition and laughter. Great to see so many people joining us, some who have joined us every year and some new for this year. We also had our new massive TV screen to use. We are looking forward to making further use of this once we consider where and how, to install it. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.
Thank you to everyone who helped and supported our Christmas Fair. Big thanks to Amanda & Ed, and Sue too for making it happen. The church looked wonderful and all afternoon people were visiting and getting some Christmas gifts as well as a well-deserved piece of cake and tea. Thank you, we couldn't do this without you.
