Get sponsored to visit historic churches on foot, by bike or other means. It's a fun way to fundraise for your own local church too. Half the sponsor money goes to the church named by the person taking part.
If you are taking part, St Peter's, Buntingford, St Mary's, Aspenden and St Mary the Virgin, Westmill will be open for visitors.

Please note, the churches at Buntingford and Aspenden have kitchen and toilet facilities.

Our Eucharist service includes bible readings, a sermon, given by one of the clergy team, traditional hymns and prayers.

Everyone is welcome to join us and we serve tea/coffee after the service and take the opportunity to catch up with each other.

Every Wednesday morning, we pray together using the Church of England Daily Prayer app, with bible readings, a reflection and a psalm.
It is a quiet, gentle gathering to prepare for the day ahead.

A warm welcome to pre-schoolers and their grown-ups. We meet at St Mary the Virgin, Westmill for songs, a bible story and a prayer along with activities and playtime.
Suggested donation of £1 per adult and £1 per child.

All pets are welcome to come along for our Pet Service on Sunday 20th September, 4pm Or do bring along a picture of your pet for a blessing.

Members of St Mary the Virgin PCC will gather to discuss the mission and running of the church.
The meeting will be held in the Children's Room. There will be usual access to the church during this time.

The service includes bible readings, prayers, hymns and a talk by one of the ministry team. Children are welcome in our dedicated play space in the Children's room.
We don't have a communion in this service. If you would like to receive Holy Communion today, this is available at our church of St Peter's, Buntingford.

All are welcome to join us for a Remembrance Day Holy Communion service. There will be a Roll of Honour as an act of Remembrance, naming those people from Westmill parish who lost their lives during the 1st and 2nd World Wars.

Buntingford Lice Presents: Pilgrim Cello
In 2022 Kenneth cycled with his cello strapped on the back of his bike from Hadrian’s Wall to Rome, performing every day en route.
Since then, author and cellist Kenneth Wilson toured all 42 English cathedrals on his bike with his cello. Tonight he will perform the cello music that he played along the way.

This should prove to be a most fascinating and entertaining evening!

ST MARY’S WESTMILL
With Christmas just round the corner we are holding a
Christmas Fayre on Saturday 5th December,
2pm to 4pm
Stalls will include Mulled Wine and Mince Pies, Tombola, Craft, Gifts to name but a few.

A jolly service for all ages. We will assemble and light a Christingle to remember Jesus, the Light of the World. All donations will go to The Children's Society.

The children of Westmill Nursery bring the birth of Jesus to life with their joyful telling of the nativity story. Parents and grandparents are welcome to come along to join in the fun.

A joyful service of carols and opening up the Christmas story.
All are welcome and this service is very suitable for children.

Gathering in our beautiful, ancient church as thousands have done through the centuries, we celebrate the birth of Christ. Come and join us at this special service to welcome the coming of Christmas.

We gather together for our worship at 10am,Sunday 27th December 2026. This will be the one service in the benefice.
