Compline - Advent Night Prayer, 7pm on 2nd December at St Mary the Virgin Westmill, 9th December at St Mary's Aspenden and 13th December at St Peter's Buntingford. A quiet, reflective service of night prayer. This service has a psalm, and short bible readings along with prayers as part of our Advent preparations.
*Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary's Aspenden, 13th December 10am-4pm & 14th December 11am - 4pm Following the success of our first Christmas Tree Festival, we are delighted to hold this event again
Carols by Candlelight at St Mary's Aspenden, 18th December 7:30pm (Doors open at 7pm) For a truly beautiful traditional carol service. The church will be decorated and lit with candles to get you prepared for Christmas. There will be bible readings, choir and congregation carols.
Cake and Carols at St Peter's Church, 20th December 4pm A festive service singing our favourite Christmas carols, there'll be a poem or two and some festive readings as well. Do come along for this informal carol service. Refreshments including plenty of cake, will be served after the service.
Quiet Christmas 21st December 4pm You are welcome to come to this quieter service, away from the busyness and bustle. This service is especially for those who find this a difficult season. There will be a couple of carols, prayer and some time of reflection on the Christmas message.
*Crib Services, Christmas Eve 2pm St Peter's, Buntingford, 4pm St Mary's Aspenden & 5pm St Mary the Virgin Westmill Our Christmas Eve Crib Service getting ready for the birth of Jesus! A joyful service of carols and opening up the Christmas story. All are welcome and this service is very suitable for children. Please come early to ensure a place.
Midnight Mass, Christmas Eve at St Mary the Virgin Westmill, 11:15pm, Gathering in our beautiful, ancient church as thousands have done through the centuries, we celebrate the birth of Christ. Come and join us at this special service to welcome the coming of Christmas.
