Over four days, we welcomed 46 children to St Mary’s, with an average of 36 each day. A fantastic team of leaders (you can tell who they are by the exhausted look they’re all wearing this weekend!) and young leaders supported Luke and Lizzy S, who led the club, with help from Jenny for the singing, linking the story of Queen Esther saving God’s people to Jesus’ teaching. The response of children and their grown-ups was all positive, with two children declining to join in what their families had arranged for the latter part of the week so that they could come back for more days than originally planned. Pray for them all.Services for the next few weeks:Midweek services each week:Tuesdays, 9.30am Holy Communion (BCP) & Bible study, St Catherine’sWednesdays, 9.30 am Morning worship & Bible study, St Mary’sSunday services:31st August 10.30 am Morning worship and picnic, St Catherine’s7th September 8.00 am Holy Communion, St Mary’s10.30 am Morning worship, All Saints14th September 10.30 am Holy Communion, St Mary’s21st September 8.00 am Holy Communion, St Mary’s10.30 am Harvest Morning worship, All Saints28th September 10.30 am Harvest All age worship, St Mary’s4.00 pm Songs of Praise, St Mary’s5th October 8.00 am Holy Communion, St Mary’s10.30 am Morning worship, All SaintsDates & meetings coming up:3rd September, 12.00 noon Funeral of Alec Debnam, St Mary’s3rd September, 2.15 pm Libury Hall service, Libury Hall3rd September, 5.00 pm Benefice finance committee meeting, The Old Top Shop6th to 7th September 24 hour prayer event6th September, 2.00 pm Bereavement Group meeting, All Saints10th September, 7.30 pm FOSM meeting, 40 South Road11th September, 2.00 pm Vacancy team meeting, The Old Top Shop13th September, 7.30 pm FOAS Quiz Night, Little Munden School18th September, 7.15 pm PCC meetings, St Mary’s19th September, 2.30 pm Little Munden School harvest service, All Saints24th September, from 11.30 Midweek Music, St Mary’s26th September, 7.30 pm FOSM Candlelit Dinner, St Mary’s
