This month, the soloist, trumpeter Stuart Dodgson, requested that the retiring collection should go to Macmillan Cancer Support. We are pleased to report the wonderful sum of £349 was raised. Next month’s concert will be on 28th June, when Rebecca Watts (Rebecca Legg) will be playing the harp.Two events for garden lovers on 10th June: The annual Open Gardens event will take place in Standon, starting at 11.00 am and finishing at 5.00 pm. There will be refreshments afterwards. As usual, we are looking for new members to step forward to join the organising committee, but we’d also love to hear from anyone who would be willing to help at our events, particularly those with more youth and physical strength than some of the current incumbents!
