Based on the Book of Common Prayer. If you're unfamiliar with the layout of the BCP there's an extract in booklet form to follow. We use the Common Worship Collect & Lectionary readings. If there's no 8am service in Shere there's one in Peaslake.
We use both the Book of Common Prayer and Common Worship liturgies. Whichever is being used, we use the Common Worship Collect and Lectionary at all these services and there are large print copies of the Liturgy. Those whose names are in the Book of Remembrance in Shere for a particular month are remembered on the last Thursday of that month.

A service for families that's very different. There's games to play, crafts, games etc, worship & lots of food! The timings given are the usual but it has to change from time to time so do check by looking at our services for the month.
This listing and the Calendar show only our NORMAL pattern of worship for SHERE only and DO NOT SHOW when, for example, Sunday Evening Prayer is replaced by something else or when a Sunday Parish Communion includes a Baptism. Services in Peaslake and planned changes to Sunday services are included in the "Our Services in ... " and late changes & changes to weekday Morning & Evening Prayer in "Weekly Notes for ..." both under 'News' to the right. Additional services for Festivals etc. are shown under the "Special Events" tab. To check on anything please phone 01483 202394 or 203352. The next line doesn't mean anything but it has to go in to put this at the top!
With among other things bells, rattles and drums, this is a weekly service especially for mothers, fathers, carers, babies and toddlers. Lasting 30 minutes there are Bible related stories, children's prayers and music followed by coffee. How long you stay is up to you! There's a break for Christmas, Easter, Bank Holidays and the summer holidays. The Weekly Notes always show it along with other weekday services.
Common Worship (sung). There are Orders of Service to follow. The liturgy changes with the church's seasons. From time to time we have a Parish Communion with Baptism in a Family Friendly service. If there's no 10am service in Shere, there's one in Peaslake.
