Heritage Open Day - 12th September

HERITAGE OPEN DAY 2026: Saturday 12th September 10.00am - 4.00pm

All Saints’ Church has been at the heart of Banstead Village for over 800 years. Changes to political authority, social structures and beliefs were reflected by changes to the church building, its adornments and its worship.

We are planning an illustrated talk on the church’s history, stained glass windows, memorials and more, and we’ll have displays of pictures on the church’s past. Our historic books will be out on show, and guides will be on hand to answer your questions and assist you as you look round.

Our Children’s Worker will provide interesting activities for younger visitors, and in the afternoon at 2.00pm a local historian will help you explore the churchyard. Or you can carry on exploring the church at your leisure. Banstead History Group will have a stall outside, and can help with questions about the Banstead area.

Programmes for the day will be on this website and in church in mid-August, so do pick one up if you’re interested. It’s all free!
