Our main Sunday service, supported by the Choir, using Common Worship
On Sunday 26th April at 11.00am we will hold our Annual Meetings in the church to elect churchwardens, PCC members and representative for Deanery Synod, and also to hear reports of church life, activities and finance. Everyone is welcome.
ASY is our youth group for young people between the ages of 11 and 18 years. We meet on the second and fourth Sunday of the month in the Institute from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Our purpose is to provide a time and space for sociable activities to foster friendships between young people, with a light spiritual touch
A said service of Holy Communion takes place every Wednesday at 10.00am, and everyone is welcome. Ths is a quiet but friendly service, lasting about 30-35 minutes.
In our quiet prayer area by the stand for the candles you will find a Tree of Light. You are welcome to write your prayer on one of the 'leaves' you will find nearby and hang it on the tree. You may also wish to light a candle.
On the first Friday of each month the prayers from the Tree are offered to God in a short service in the Lady Chapel which everyone is welcome to join.
The 8.00am Service of Holy Communion takes place on the first two Sundays of the month, using the Book of Common Prayer on the first Sunday and Common Worship on the second. This is a short service, with no hymns, but quiet and prayerful. (No 8.00am service on 9th November.)
This time of silence, readings, prayer and music is held on the second Wednesday of the month and is an opportunity to focus our prayers and thoughts on the peace of the world. Come for the whole half-hour or just a few minutes.
