St. Andrew's Church Frimley Green and Mytchett

Whether you are exploring the claims of Jesus or you long to know and serve him better, St Andrew’s is here to help. We are a growing church at the heart of the community situated by Frimley Lodge Park. We are very much a local Anglican church, enjoying close links with Frimley Church of England Junior School, Mytchett Primary School and Cross Farm Infant School.

Safeguarding

St Andrew’s Church is committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of children within our church family, and also to encouraging an environment where all people and especially those who may be vulnerable are able to meet in safety. Our Safeguarding Policy Statement affirms how importantly we take Safeguarding and the PCC has adopted the House of Bishops’ ‘Promoting a Safer Church; Safeguarding Policy Statement’.

To that end, volunteers who lead or supervise childrens' and youth groups are required to have undertaken a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (a 'DBS check'). In addition, all of those who work with children and/or vulnerable adults on a regular basis will be made aware of, and should familiarise themselves with, the Diocesan Safeguarding Policy and Procedures, and will be encouraged to attend Diocesan safeguarding training every three years.

We are also committed to the implementation of the Diocese of Guildford Safeguarding Policy and Procedures, and the relevant statutory legislation and guidance for the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. If you have suffered from, or are aware of, church related abuse please see this page on the Guildford Diocese's website.

More details can be found in our Safeguarding Policy Statement.
