St John the Evangelist, Merrow

“And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:20.

Welcome to St John’s. We are delighted that you have found your way to our church page, and welcome you warmly.

St John’s, like every community of faith throughout the world has been tossed about on the waves of this storm of the global pandemic. However, as a community, during the crisis we have found ourselves growing closer to each other, and more aware of those things which matter to us. We simply want to be people who live lives of integrity, we want to be kind, to show love to others and to live ethically. We believe that this is exactly what God calls us to do, and what God in Jesus Christ teaches us to do.

Many of the dusty old traditions have been taken off the shelves and reconsidered during this pandemic, and I think you will find us a more authentic community who worship in a more real way.

And so welcome. We hope that you will find something in our online worship, prayer opportunities and children’s offerings, or in face to face services and events. We hope you will find that St John’s is a place which you would like to belong to, a community you would find your life enhanced to be a part of. As we move into the new life after 2020 we would love you to find St John’s can be a home for you, where we all discover ways to live lives of integrity, to be kind, love others and to live ethically.

I am delighted to welcome you as Rector, but there is a lovely team working with me, so this is not just from me, but from all of us, thank you for finding this page, please get in touch, and we look forward to welcoming you.

With every blessing from Rev Rona Stuart-Bourne
