Sunday School (not the second Sunday of each month) for children takes place in the Parish Centre, meeting in the small hall at 10am for those aged 4 - 15 years old. The children then join us just before the Distribution of Holy Communion.
Refreshments available in the Parish Centre following the service.
All welcome to this simple said service every Wednesday ay 11am, followed by refreshments at the back of church in our café area.
We are keeping the feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with a very special Sung Festival Eucharist in which we will give thanks for the financial support of so many. There will be an update on our finances and an encouragement for people to join The Parish Giving Scheme.
A simple service of songs, prayers and children's craft lasting 30 minutes.
What is Emmaus Nurture?
Emmaus is a course designed to welcome people into the Christian faith and the life of the Church. It aims to involve the whole Church in evangelism, the nurture of new believers and ongoing Christian discipleship. These sessions are intergenerational in nature, for those exploring faith and questions of life, morality, and purpose, for those with a long-established faith and all in between.
Following the example of Jesus as he walks with the disciples on the Emmaus Road
(see Luke 24: 13-35), the 11-session course:
starts where people are on their journey of faith.
journeys alongside them as they question, discuss, learn, and are transformed.
helps deepen faith and our sense of discipleship.
Builds new relationships across the Christian community at St James.’
Welcome to our Emmaus Journey!
We are meeting in St James’ Church Weybridge, All Souls Chapel weekly on Tuesdays at 1pm or 7.30pm this Autumn 2025. Both sessions are identical in content so attendance can be interchangeable. We also plan to record the 1pm session for later viewing on our website.

HARVEST FESTIVAL at St James’ Church, Weybridge Town Centre

8am Said Eucharist quiet reflective service, 10am Sung Harvest Festival Eucharist, 11:30am Harvest Family Service, an informal service with children’s talk, songs, bible story, craft and blessing of harvest foods.
6pm Harvest Evensong.

Our traditional service of Nine Lessons and carols with individual candles. The service lasts just over the hour and will include classic carols such as O Come all ye faithful and Hark the herald angles sing. The choir will be singing five anthems including The Sussex Carol.

A brilliant service for all the family at 3pm or 5pm - when the real meaning of the Christmas story is explored through bible readings and popular carols with something for all ages. We are also colleting toys for Elmbridge Homestart.
11:30pm Christmas Eve with traditional carols, choir, individual candles and the joy of the season. Not to be missed!
Join us on Christmas morning for one of the most wonderful services of the year as we celebrate again the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem. With popular carols, prayers and communion. There will be colouring packs and activities for children and the service is followed by coffee and Christmas Cake at the back of the church.
On Sunday 4th January we will keep the celebration of Epiphany - the arrival of the wise men at the nativity. At 6pm we will hold a very special service of carols, readings and prayers before the Crib under the High Altar up in the Chancel of St James. This is followed by a bring & share wine & cheese party at the back of Church. An occasion not to be missed!
