THURSDAY  7th 6pm -6.30pm

Christmas Tree Lights Switch-on

In St Anne’s Gardens on Wardour St. with carols from Soho Parish School Choir and refreshments for all to enjoy. Christmas tree courtesy of Land Securities.

FRIDAY 8th 7pm -10.30pm

Lady Lambrini’s Jingle Bell Ball: A Christmas Quiz night &supper hosted by St Anne’s very own Drag Queen, Lady Lambrini (love child of Dolly Parton & Prince Charles) £10 includes supper, bring your own drink! The evening ends with a raffle at about 10pm. These evenings usually raise around £350 towards our work supporting people who turn to St Anne’s for help in times of hardship.

Soho Society Christmas Fete

MONDAY 11th  7.30pm -9.30pm

The Virgin, The Bible and the Boy

A Bible study for Advent with Dr Keith Riglin in the Rectory. Join us for an informal and interactive exploration of the some of the most familiar passages in the Bible and deepen your understanding of the significance of Jesus’ birth. All welcome for this evening which will last about an hour and a half. In the Rectory at St Anne’s led by Fr Keith- Assistant Priest of St Anne’s and Chaplain of Kings College, London.

THURSDAY 14th

1pm: Christmas Lunch Turkey & all the trimmings - for Senior Citizens supported by Rotary Club Westminster East.  This popular annual event is primarily for those who regularly attend our Thursday lunch for Senior Citizens. This year we are able to offer some ‘guest places’ for lunch( including a glass of wine and a present from Santa) for £10.

6pm: The Sybil’s Advent and Christmas service (A service for trans-Christians and their friends, held in the rectory dining room lasting half an hour. Optional meal afterwards at Bistro1)

7pm: A Celebration of Christmas- the Lord Mayor of Westminster’s event for Opening Doors.  LGBT Age Concern

SATURDAY 16th 2pm -3pm

A service on the anniversary of the death of Dorothy L Sayers (1893 – 1957)

Organised by the Dorothy L Sayers Society. Preacher : The Rt Rev’d and Rt Hon Richard Charters KVCO. The president of the Society returns to preach at this special hour long service at St Anne’s where detective novelist, essayist and playwright Dorothy L Sayers was Churchwarden.

THURSDAY 21st 6.30pm -7.30pm

Traditional Carol Service This popular service combines well-known carols for all to sing as well as music from a professional quartet and seasonal scripture readings. Mulled wine and mince pies follow the service.

SUNDAY 24th Christmas Eve

11am- Eucharist for the Fourth Sunday of Advent

5pm- Gathered at the Manger- a family service for Christmas Eve. A service for all the family on Christmas Eve. This 45 minute service in the intimate atmosphere of St Anne’s includes carols and the blessing of the crib and is designed to engage people of all ages and help them recall what Christmas is really about. This year the Rector, a former professional puppeteer, will introduce us to Benjamin the Shepherd boy who will re-enact that first Christmas night! Refreshments follow this service.

MONDAY 25th Christmas Day

11am – Eucharist for Christmas Day.

Holy Communion, carols and sermon to celebrate the birth of Jesus. For those who stay in Soho for Christmas, or are able to get here. The service lasts an hour.

The church is then closed all week until

SUNDAY 31st New Year's Eve

11am - Eucharist for a New Year. A service in which we look back at the year that is ending and commend the year ahead to God. Followed by wine and nibbles.
